Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Lotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lotus comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Tommy Lotus has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 32 - 2, fighting out of London, Tommy Lotus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 3, fighting out of London, Sean Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotus fails with a takedown attempt.

Lotus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lotus wants to pass to mount but Quinn is defending the position.
Quinn gets back to full guard.
Lotus tries to free his leg and advance position but Quinn is retaining full guard.
Quinn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lotus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tommy Lotus.

Quinn throws an overhand right that lands on Lotus's shoulder, as Lotus tries to avoid the shot.
Lotus shoots in looking for a takedown but Quinn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lotus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sean Quinn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Quinn felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Lotus is looking to take a break and control but Quinn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Quinn thows a body shot but no joy.

Lotus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Quinn finds it's way round the side to connect with Lotus's head.

Lotus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Lotus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Quinn, who protects the arm well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Lotus will probably get the nod.

Lotus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Quinn loads up on a big right hand but Lotus slips the punch.

Lotus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quinn as he avoids it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sean Quinn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
