McLure comes to the cage accompanied by The Simpsons Theme Song. Murquite has chosen Não Posso Mais as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLure connects with the punch.

It looks like Abdoul Murquite has been cut.
McLure misses with a wild combination.

Murquite moves into the clinch successfully.
Murquite goes for a takedown attempt but McLure pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Murquite gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McLure.
Murquite throws a leg kick which misses McLure's front leg but catches the back leg as McLure tries to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murquite takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

A nice leg kick lands there from Murquite.
Murquite tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from McLure.
Murquite keeps the fight on the outside.
Murquite tries to clinch but McLure moves out of range.

McLure works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

McLure lands a big head kick that sends Murquite tumbling to the mat! McLure takes a step backwards and waves Murquite back to his feet - he wants the finish!

That has opened up Abdoul Murquite's cut even more.

Murquite avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McLure is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
McLure buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Murquite rushes McLure and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Murquite keeps control of McLure as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Murquite wants a takedown but no success here.
McLure is looking to break free of the clinch but Murquite has double underhooks.
McLure lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

The cut above Abdoul Murquite's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Murquite is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McLure pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Troy McLure has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdoul Murquite.
McLure pushes off an throws an elbow but Murquite leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

McLure throws out a loose jab but Murquite uses good head movement to avoid it.

McLure fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McLure lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Murquite backs up against the cage.
McLure swings for the body but Murquite moves out of range.
McLure pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McLure throws a nice looking combination but Murquite bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McLure scores with a nice head shot.

Abdoul Murquite's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
McLure is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
McLure thows a body shot but no joy.
Murquite uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McLure.
McLure looks to land a combination but Murquite avoids it well.
Murquite tries to close the distance and clinch but McLure swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McLure misses with a body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

McLure breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
