The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Compton lands with a cross.
Compton stuns Tyson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tyson connects with a leg kick. Compton looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Compton misses with a lunging right hand
and Tyson counters with a thumping low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Compton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tyson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Compton tries to clinch up.
Compton misses with an uppercut
and Tyson counters with an inside leg kick.
Tyson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Compton is breathing heavily.
Tyson scores with a nice strike.
BOOM! Tyson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Compton. Compton tries to recover but Tyson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Compton lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rocky Tyson!
After winning the bout, Rocky Tyson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
