And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Lynch!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing good reports from Jakovlev's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jakovlev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lynch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Lynch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Eric Lynch thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Petr Jakovlev had this to say: 'If you can read this, it means I lost the fight. Shit...'.
