Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Coulter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas Coulter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hans Gruber's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Coulter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Gruber!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Gruber has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coulter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gruber pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gruber closes the distance and pushes Coulter back into the cage.

Coulter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gruber closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Coulter takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Coulter gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gruber regains guard.
Coulter distracts Gruber with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Coulter wants to pass the guard but Gruber is keeping the position.
Gruber wants to sweep here but Coulter controlling him for the moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coulter trying to control but Gruber is working from the bottom.
Gruber looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coulter is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coulter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Coulter has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Coulter with a nice head shot there.
Coulter chips away with some ground and pound.
Coulter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Coulter passes into half guard.
Coulter slows the pace down in half guard.
Coulter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gruber's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coulter controlling the action here.
Coulter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Coulter slips a nice elbow through Gruber's hands, connecting with Gruber's forehead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gruber wants to control but Coulter is keeping busy.

Coulter looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Coulter in particular looking to stall.
Gruber avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coulter.
Coulter is controlling the pace.
Gruber is looking to get back to is feet but Coulter passes into side control.
Gruber looks winded!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Coulter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Coulter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gruber has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gruber is working to avoid the ground and pound but Coulter connects with a decent elbow.
Coulter advances to full mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coulter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Coulter in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Coulter dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Coulter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Coulter lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Hans Gruber has been cut.

Gruber has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Coulter regains guard immediately.

Coulter has his foot on Gruber's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gruber works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coulter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gruber is one step ahead there.
Gruber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coulter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Coulter has his feet on Gruber's thighs here. He's pushed Gruber off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gruber screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
