Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rener Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Yamaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshi Yamaguchi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamaguchi has a takedown stuffed.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
Yamaguchi tries for a takedown but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yamaguchi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Gracie!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Gracie wants to control but Yamaguchi postures up.
Gracie is looking to regain half guard here but Yamaguchi keeps moving and retains side control.

Yamaguchi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gracie, who protects the arm well.
Yamaguchi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Yamaguchi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yamaguchi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Yamaguchi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
