Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Arnold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato looks to land a body kick but Arnold moved away.
Arnold takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kato connects with a solid leg kick.
Arnold looks to clinch
enabling Kato to counter with a crisp jab.
Kato misses with a hook. Arnold ducked under it nicely.
Kato looks to score with a jab to the body but Arnold is just out of range.
Kato looks to land a left hand but Arnold moved out of range nicely.
Arnold closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Arnold uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kato.
Arnold misses with a looping left.
Kato feints and then cracks Arnold's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Arnold down.
Arnold tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kato throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kato looks to score with a jab to the body but Arnold is just out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kato walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Arnold drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Kato swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Arnold's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
