Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Van Der Sluijs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Time Bang!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nice body kick there by Van Der Sluijs.
Van Der Sluijs slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bang has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Van Der Sluijs thuds his right hand into Bang's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Time Bang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Der Sluijs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bang's calf.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd cheers as Van Der Sluijs lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bang doesn't seem phased though.
Bang tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Van Der Sluijs defends well and Bang ends up having to push Van Der Sluijs into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Van Der Sluijs throws an elbow but it misses.
Bang blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Van Der Sluijs swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Van Der Sluijs lands a nice elbow.
Van Der Sluijs wants to break free but Bang has control.

Van Der Sluijs keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bang's efforts to push away.
Bang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Van Der Sluijs pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bang dives in for a single leg takedown but Van Der Sluijs sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Van Der Sluijs tries to circle away but Bang has him pinned against the cage.

Van Der Sluijs gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Van Der Sluijs lands a hook that snaps the head of Bang backwards.
Bang is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Van Der Sluijs misses with an elbow over the top.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Van Der Sluijs just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bang's brow.
Bang tries to pull guard but Van Der Sluijs holds him up against the cage and eventually Bang drops back down to his feet.
Van Der Sluijs pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Van Der Sluijs lands with a light punch inside.
A frustrated look appears on Van Der Sluijs's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bang dodges an elbow strike from Van Der Sluijs.

Bang decides to pull guard.
Bang wants to sweep but no luck.
Bang is looking to stand back up but Van Der Sluijs counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bang.
Bang is refusing to be controlled, as Van Der Sluijs sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bang is trying to stand up here but Van Der Sluijs is controlling him well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Van Der Sluijs dominated that round.

Bang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Van Der Sluijs as he jumps to the side.
Van Der Sluijs plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Van Der Sluijs lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bang shoots for a takedown but Van Der Sluijs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
James Van Der Sluijs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Time Bang.
Bang looks for a takedown but Van Der Sluijs sprawls well.
James Van Der Sluijs is winning the standup battle so far.
Bang walks into a jab.
Van Der Sluijs lands a head kick!
Van Der Sluijs lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Van Der Sluijs lands a big head kick that sends Bang to the canvas! Van Der Sluijs follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
