Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Kisuke Urahara!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malkin checks a leg kick.
Malkin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Malkin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Evgeniy Malkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malkin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Urahara throws a combination. Malkin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Urahara digs a good hook to Malkin's body.

Malkin throws an overhand right that lands on Urahara's shoulder, as Urahara tries to avoid the shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Urahara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Malkin misses with a few strikes there.
Malkin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Urahara. That did some damage!
Malkin scores with a sloppy right hand. Urahara should have avoided that one.
Urahara connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Malkin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Malkin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Urahara has managed to free his arm - good work.

Urahara wants to get back to full guard.

Urahara is looking to control Malkin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Urahara avoid being mounted?

Malkin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Urahara is keeping the position for now.

Malkin wants to control from the top but Urahara keeps moving.
Malkin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malkin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Malkin slips nicely into half guard.
Urahara manages to get to full guard.

Malkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Urahara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Urahara is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Malkin passes into half guard.
Malkin in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Urahara tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Malkin!
