The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards throws a right and a left that Vegeta avoids nicely.
Edwards tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vegeta defends well and Edwards ends up having to push Vegeta into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Edwards manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Vegeta is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Edwards is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Edwards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vegeta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vegeta seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Edwards for as long as he can get away with.
