Shepherd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alter Bridge - Addicted to pain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd shoots in and drives through. Bigalo sprawls well.
Duce Bigalo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shepherd shoots in looking for a takedown but Bigalo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shepherd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bigalo throws a lazy head kick

and Shepherd counters by clinching up.
Bigalo lands a nice elbow.
Shepherd has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bigalo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Duce Bigalo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rufus Shepherd.
Bigalo scores a nice knee to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice glancing elbow lands by Bigalo.

It looks like Rufus Shepherd has been cut.
Bigalo jerks Shepherd's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Shepherd drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Bigalo goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Bigalo because Shepherd was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Duce Bigalo!
