The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Troeng is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Spong seems to have got his legs back now.

Spong sneaks out the side door and pushes Troeng away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Spong moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Troeng rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Spong. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Spong doesn't manage to clinch there - Troeng circles away.

Spong tries to clinch but Troeng is having none of it.
Troeng throws a series of punches but Spong moves out of range.
Troeng lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Troeng takes a kick to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tor Troeng dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Spong walks straight into a right hand from Troeng - that's dropped him! Troeng jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Spong from any more punishment! Spong complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
