Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brutaali Pekka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorma Korva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorma Korva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korva throws a jab but it's blocked by Pekka.
Korva has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pekka is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pekka moves away from the strike by Korva.
A telegraphed right hand from Korva misses the target.
Korva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pekka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pekka moves out of range as Korva strikes.
Korva looks to land a combination. Pekka sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Korva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pekka manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pekka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Korva defends it easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pekka is on top in guard.

Pekka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Korva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pekka has Korva in his guard.

Pekka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Korva defends well.
Pekka wants to sweep here but Korva controlling him for the moment.

Korva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pekka with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Korva wants to take a breather but Pekka is having none of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Korva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pekka's waist but Pekka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Korva off to one side.

Korva looks to land a right hand but Pekka moved out of range.

Pekka drops his hands momentarily and Korva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Korva closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pekka's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Korva is sitting in close to Pekka's body. Pekka has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Korva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Korva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pekka.
