Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Gatho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Corrida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatho comes to the cage accompanied by 666 - Bomba!. Corrida has chosen Shadowhunter as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Corrida!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatho throws a nice outside leg kick.
Corrida moves to clinch but Gatho breaks away
so Gatho counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Corrida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gatho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gatho throws a big elbow that misses.
Gatho throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Corrida controls Gatho momentarily but Gatho frees himself.
Gatho trying to control the position from guard on top but Corrida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gatho looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Corrida has picked Gatho up and slammed him! Gatho can't keep hold of the triangle and Corrida manages to pass to side control!
Corrida has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gatho!
Corrida throws a strike there. Gatho manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

It looks like Corrida is going to stand back up.
Corrida perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Corrida is thwarting Gatho's attempts to control the position.
Corrida stops Gatho from getting back to his feet.

Corrida seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gatho does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Corrida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gatho to score with a decent uppercut.

Gatho thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Corrida if he has to take too many more of those.
Gatho throws out a leg kick but Corrida moves out of range and Gatho only half commits.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Gatho will probably get the nod.

Corrida passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gatho!
Gatho is squirming around, avoiding Corrida's attempts to control the action.

Gatho can't escape the position.
Gatho's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
