Sturd kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is T.I. - Yeah You Know. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tikkanen throws a looping overhand right but Sturd ducks down to avoid it.

Sturd throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tikkanen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Tikkanen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sturd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from Tikkanen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Sturd.
I think Sturd has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
