Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Evans!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles shoots in for a double leg but Evans sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Charles shoots in looking for a takedown but Evans manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Charles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Charles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Charles tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Evans manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Calvin Charles will probably get the nod.

Evans fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Charles manages to avoid it.

Horrible takedown by Charles or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans which made him look bad.
