With a record of 28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Hong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Katsuro Sato!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hong tries to move into range but Sato moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Sato closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Katsuro Sato has been cut.
Sato scores with a decent looking hook.

Sato drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hong is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Mandirigmang Pilipino that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Hong might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Sato seems to be working for a kimura but Hong defends the submission attempt.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sato working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Sato is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hong doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sato.

Sato fakes the leg kick and cracks Hong in the body.
Antonio Hong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sato feints and then cracks Hong's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hong down.
Sato walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hong checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Sato gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Hong misses with a straight right.
Sato slips under a jab.
Hong throws the kick towards the body but Sato avoids it.

Hong missing with a left hand there. Sato was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hong shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sato tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hong is able to avoid easily.
Sato lands a nice shot that snaps Hong's head back.
Hong throws a body kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sato is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Hong can't find room to land a body shot as Sato controls the action.
Sato changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hong fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sato throws a hook but Hong avoids it easily.
Hong pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sato is out of range and Hong settles back down.
Sato uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hong has time to react.

Sato takes a swing at Hong's ribcage but misses.
Sato looks to score with a jab to the body but Hong is just out of range.
Hong lands with a shot to the body.
Sato takes one to the side of the head.
Hong doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sato just misses with a punch to the body.
Hong cracks Sato with a good jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hong chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sato can pounce on him.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hong. Sato does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sato gets the takedown into side control.
Hong tries to bench press Sato off him but Sato keeps the position.
Sato has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hong stops Sato from passing to mount.

You can see the frustration on Hong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sato goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hong has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sato but great work by Hong.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sato is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sato is keen to just control but Hong is a slippery customer.

Sato is working for an americana but Hong has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Sato was thinking about the submission.

Katsuro Sato comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sato has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
