Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Apollinaris Serpico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harrison clinches up with Serpico and pushes him back against the cage.
Serpico jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harrison walks away with a smile on his face. Serpico gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Serpico falls off balance throwing a combination

and Harrison counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Serpico takes an elbow to the forehead.
Serpico tries for a takedown but Harrison manages to get underhooks.
Harrison working Serpico over with knees to the body.
Serpico tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Harrison smiles and moves away.
Harrison has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Serpico is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Apollinaris Serpico. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Serpico clinches with his opponent.
Harrison creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Serpico's defenses.
Harrison with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Serpico goes for a takedown in the clinch but Harrison prevents it.
Harrison scores with a knee to the head.
Harrison comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Serpico has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Harrison is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Serpico tries to pull guard but Harrison holds him up against the cage and eventually Serpico drops back down to his feet.
Harrison unloads a knee to the mid-section. Serpico lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Harrison creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Serpico's defenses.
Harrison utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Serpico is breathing heavily.
Harrison stalling.
Serpico takes an elbow to the temple.
Harrison lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Apollinaris Serpico has been cut.
Harrison unloads a knee to the mid-section. Serpico lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Come on Harrison - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Harrison landing knees to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Serpico is rocked!
Harrison jerks Serpico's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Serpico drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Harrison goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Harrison because Serpico was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). William Harrison!
After the fight, William Harrison was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
