Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou The Tooth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lou The Tooth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David James!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Tooth tries to clinch but James is having none of it.
James closes this distance looking for a takedown but The Tooth circles away.

The Tooth clinches up with James and pushes him back against the cage.
The Tooth is pressed up against the cage. James has hold of a leg and is looking to drag The Tooth down to the mat. The Tooth avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
James shoots in looking for a takedown. The Tooth tries to sprawl out of it but James keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The Tooth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lou The Tooth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David James.

The Tooth clinches up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on James's face as he tries to break the clinch.
James takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like David James has been cut.
James tries to pull guard but The Tooth forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The Tooth is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James goes for a takedown attempt but The Tooth pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The Tooth pushes James up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as The Tooth takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The Tooth lands a damaging elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Come on The Tooth - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
James tries to score a body lock takedown but The Tooth shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
James is looking for a takedown.
James drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Tooth pulls his leg out and moves away.
James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The Tooth drives through and clinches with James against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by The Tooth.
James fails to pull guard.
The Tooth prevents the takedown attempt.
James goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
James changes levels and goes for a takedown here. The Tooth fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The Tooth closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The Tooth lands a damaging elbow.
James jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Tooth walks away with a smile on his face. James gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
James looks for a takedown but The Tooth sprawls well.
The Tooth tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from James is defended easily by The Tooth.
James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The Tooth defends it nicely.

and The Tooth counters by clinching up.
The Tooth lands an elbow inside that James shrugs off.
The Tooth lands a good knee to the midsection. James won't want to take too many of those.
James is working for takedown but The Tooth is calmly controlling the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The Tooth displaying some good clinch control by pressing James up against the cage.
The Tooth lands a damaging elbow.


That has opened up David James's cut even more.

James has hold of one of The Tooth's legs. The Tooth is fighting the takedown attempt but James gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
James won't allow The Tooth to sweep him here.
The Tooth is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
My spies in VENDETTA Elite Gym inform me that James has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Lou The Tooth has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
James darts in looking for a takedown but The Tooth gets double underhooks and turns James into the cage.

The Tooth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The Tooth displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from James.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Tooth wants to clinch

and James decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in The Tooth's guard.
James postures up in The Tooth's guard and throws a big left but The Tooth blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lou The Tooth has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
James tries for a takedown but The Tooth sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lou The Tooth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
James shoots in and drives through. The Tooth sprawls well.
James on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by The Tooth. The Tooth obviously looking to wear him down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lou The Tooth dominated that round.
The cut man is working on David James's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The Tooth is looking to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
James shoots in looking for a takedown but The Tooth manages to keep the fight standing, pushing James's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
James just misses with a punch to the body.
James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The Tooth pinned against the cage. The Tooth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lou The Tooth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David James.
The Tooth is looking to clinch but James is avoiding it.

The Tooth instigates a clinch.
James tries to pull guard but The Tooth holds him up against the cage and eventually James drops back down to his feet.
James goes for a takedown in the clinch but The Tooth prevents it.
James drops down looking for an ankle pick but The Tooth pulls his leg out and moves away.

The Tooth gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. The Tooth obliges.
James is breathing heavily.
James takes an elbow to the forehead.

The Tooth lands a vicious elbow to the side of James's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! The Tooth tries to finish him with strikes but James still seems able to defend himself so The Tooth steps back and lets James get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.


James is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can The Tooth finish him?

The Tooth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The Tooth darts in and clinches James up against the cage.
The Tooth has James pressed against the cage. He pushes James back and as he springs towards him off the cage, The Tooth throws a beautiful elbow that sends James crashing to the floor! The Tooth piles on the pressure with more strikes! James is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lou The Tooth!
