Turpin throws a low kick but Ahokas moves out of range easily.

We've been hearing reports that Ahokas has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Turpin explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Turpin connects with a leg kick. Ahokas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Turpin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Look low, kick high! Turpin uses the oldest trick in the book to send Ahokas tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Turpin is absolutely delighted - when Ahokas wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Randolph Turpin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
