The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurst looks to score with a jab to the body but Cardenas is just out of range.
Cardenas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cardenas wants it to stay on the feet.
Cardenas clinches up with Hurst and pushes him back against the cage.

Cardenas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Cardenas gets through Hurst's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hurst has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hurst shoots in for a double leg but Cardenas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hurst tries for a takedown but Cardenas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
