The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter avoids the head kick by Elephant .
Hunter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Cassius Hunter has been cut.
Hunter misses the shot to the body.
A big left from Elephant misses.
A left lands for Elephant .
Elephant throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No luck for Hunter with that takedown attempt.

Hunter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hunter showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hunter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Elephant gets back to full guard.
Elephant looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there.

Hunter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Elephant looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Elephant looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Elephant !

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Elephant working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
