Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Short Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Low swivels and escapes.
Low wants to land a leg kick but Abbott is out of range.
Low lands a jab to Abbott's midsection.
Low shoots in for a double leg but Abbott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown but Low shows good takedown defense.

and Low counters with a stiff right hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abbott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Low looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Low accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Low not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Low connects with a combination that backs up Abbott into the cage. Low lands a flurry of punches that gets past Abbott's guard. Abbott is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Low bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
