Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and McKenzie Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKenzie Porter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Porter scores with a takedown into Yang's guard.
Yang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Porter wants to stand and escape but instead Yang has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Porter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Porter pulls Yang in close to prevent any damage.
Yang is looking to stand up but Porter won't let him.

Yang wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Porter can do anything to dispel that myth.
Porter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yang's guard.
Porter is in close to Yang's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Porter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Porter has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Yang clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
