The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veide circles away from the clinch attempt.
Svensen throws the kick towards the body but Veide avoids it.
Veide misses with an uppercut. Svensen saw that one coming.
Veide looks to throw the jab but Svensen is out of range.
Svensen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Veide swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Veide fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Svensen throws a front kick that sends Veide stumbling back into the cage.
Veide throws a right and a left that both miss.
Svensen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Veide swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Veide throws a body punch but Svensen moves out of range.
Veide moves out of range of the body kick from Svensen.
Veide connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A nice leg kick lands there from Veide.
Veide cracks Svensen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Svensen is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd cheers as Veide lands an impressive looking overhand right. Svensen doesn't seem phased though.
Svensen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Veide throws a right and a left that Svensen avoids nicely.
Veide just misses with a punch to the body.

Veide cracks Svensen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Veide has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Svensen to stand back up!

Svensen is rocked!
Svensen slips a straight right by Veide.
Svensen throws a lazy head kick
and Veide counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Svensen badly! He tries to strike back but Veide puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Svensen out cold! Oh man, Svensen will never hear the end of this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Varg Veide!
A relieved looking Varg Veide thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
