Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerd Stenner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stenner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Escapado - Gezeichnet. Cerrone is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cowboy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gerd Stenner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donald Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stenner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cerrone avoids it really well and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stenner.
Cerrone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Stenner shoots in for a double leg but Cerrone sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stenner is rocked!
Stenner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cerrone's waist but Cerrone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stenner off to one side.

Cerrone lands a big head kick that sends Stenner tumbling to the mat! Cerrone takes a step backwards and waves Stenner back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Stenner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stenner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Stenner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cerrone works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stenner seems to have got his legs back now.

Stenner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cerrone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Stenner, into his guard.
Cerrone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stenner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stenner is looking for a triangle but Cerrone pushes his legs off easily.

Cerrone's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Gerd Stenner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cerrone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cerrone not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Good leg kick by Cerrone there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Stenner is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Stenner gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cerrone.
Stenner shoots for a takedown but Cerrone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Cerrone lands a leg kick that knocks Stenner off balance momentarily.
Cerrone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stenner.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Cerrone! Stenner is out on his feet! Cerrone rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Stenner is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Stenner is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
