PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russ Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yngve Ingvar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutger kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Prince Ital Joe feat. Marky Mark - United. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Yngve Ingvar!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingvar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Rutger throws a hook to the side of Ingvar's head but Ingvar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rutger shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ingvar's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We've been hearing that Rutger has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Rutger throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ingvar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rutger is in Ingvar's guard.

Ingvar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Ingvar in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Ingvar's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rutger connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ingvar scrambles back to his feet.

Well Rutger has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
