Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jory Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes to the cage accompanied by ain't worried about nothin. The crowd seem to be enjoying Duarte's choice of entrance music: Shabba Ranks (Shabba Remix). The key to victory for Jory Cruz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Duarte is in Cruz's guard.
Duarte distracts Cruz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Duarte uses his free foot to push down on Cruz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cruz.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jory Cruz.
Well Cruz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
