Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dingo Monster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Alekseev!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alekseev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Monster tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alekseev is in Monster's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Alekseev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Alekseev lands a couple of digs.


It looks like Dingo Monster has been cut.
Alekseev with a flurry of punches that miss.
Monster trying to keep a closed guard but Alekseev is proving a slippery customer.
Monster is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at NGF Private Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Monster wants to stand and escape but Alekseev is having none of it.
Monster tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Monster is trying to keep Alekseev in close.

We're going to have a standup here because Dingo Monster wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Alekseev closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Monster quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Monster wants to get back to his feet.
Alekseev drops an elbow to the side of Monster's head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alekseev connects with a nice short shot to Monster's temple.
Alekseev landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Monster tries to kick Alekseev off but Alekseev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Alekseev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Alekseev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Alekseev wants to work for an arm triangle but Monster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Monster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Alekseev lands with a punch from half guard.
Alekseev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Monster wants to get back to full guard.

Alekseev winds up and cracks Monster with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
My spies in St Petersburg MMA Gym inform me that Alekseev has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Monster is trying to get back to full guard.
Monster is trying to stand up here but Alekseev is controlling him well.

Alekseev is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Monster sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Alekseev looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Monster tries to get to full guard but Alekseev has control of the leg.

Monster is rocked!
Monster tries to roll over but Alekseev keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alekseev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Oh Monster is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alekseev scores with a big shot! Monster's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Monster! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oleg Alekseev!
Oleg Alekseev looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I was disappointed in this game and with it's engine. My passion for it has gone away. Win or loss? I don't give a shit!'.
