Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Talian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Ronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talian defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ronson.
Talian leaves Ronson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Talian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ronson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Walter Ronson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Talian is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ronson shoots in for a takedown but Talian shows good takedown defense.
Dan Talian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Ronson.

Ronson is working for takedown but Talian is calmly controlling the position for now.
Talian lands a good knee to the midsection. Ronson won't want to take too many of those.

Talian decides to pull guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Talian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ronson manages to get himself to full guard.

Talian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Talian decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ronson, up you get!
Ronson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Talian but Talian pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Talian could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Talian jumps guard but Ronson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Talian goes for a takedown attempt but Ronson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Talian stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Talian wants it to stay on the feet.

Ronson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Talian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Talian gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ronson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ronson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ronson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ronson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Talian manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ronson has Talian in his guard.

Ronson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Talian should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ronson has tightened it up now! Talian should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
