Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Swing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garza's entrance music is kickboxer theme. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Garza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Big Swing!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garza tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Swing manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Swing feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Garzas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Big Swing has been cut.

Garza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Garza throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Swing tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Garza is in Swing's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been informed that Swing has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Garza has control of Swing's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Swing regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Big Swing is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Garza tries to close the distance and clinch but Swing swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oh Garza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice takedown defense from Swing. No joy for Garza on that attempt.

Swing feints a jab promting Garza to slip. Swing then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Garza slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
