The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodwin misses with a looping left.
Goodwin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Voandra looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

and Goodwin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Goodwin.
Voandra is looking to stand up but Goodwin isn't so interested in that idea.

Goodwin stops Voandra from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voandra can't keep his opponent in guard - Goodwin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Goodwin is looking to advance position but Voandra won't allow it.

Goodwin winds up and cracks Voandra with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Goodwin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Voandra seems to have recovered his senses.
Goodwin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
