Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aurelius Ambrosius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Amazing by Kanye West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slyker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ambrosius.
Slyker fails with the takedown.
Slyker throws a series of punches but Ambrosius avoids them all with ease.

and Ambrosius decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Slyker's guard.

Ambrosius throws a strike but Slyker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Slyker working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Ambrosius is working hard here to advance position.
Slyker postures up in Ambrosius's guard and throws a big left but Ambrosius blocks it.
Slyker lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Ambrosius has control of Slyker's left arm, preventing Slyker from doing any damage.
Ambrosius wants to sweep but no luck.
Slyker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ambrosius's head.

Slyker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Slyker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ambrosius wants to sweep here but Slyker controlling him for the moment.
Slyker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Ambrosius is rocked!

It looks like Aurelius Ambrosius has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slyker loads up on a big left hand. Ambrosius felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Slyker looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Ambrosius can't hide his disappointment, as Slyker celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Slyker!
