Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uruk Owraa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Uruk Owraa!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson tries to clinch up but Owraa circles away and keeps his distance.
Owraa jabs Wilson right on the nose. Wilson blinks but takes it well.

Wilson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Wilson trying to control but Owraa is working from the bottom.
Owraa keeping full guard, as Wilson tries to pass.
Owraa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Owraa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Owraa keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully.
Wilson works over Owraa with some ground and pound from guard.
Wilson tries to free his leg and advance position but Owraa is retaining full guard.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Wilson counters by clinching up.
Wilson lands an elbow just above Owraa 's eye.
Wilson prevents the takedown attempt.

Wilson decides to pull guard.
Wilson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Owraa manages to get himself to full guard.
Wilson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wilson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wilson wants to control from the top but Owraa keeps moving.
Wilson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Wilson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Wilson.

Wilson manages to break the clinch.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown but Owraa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wilson lands a leg kick that knocks Owraa off balance momentarily.
Horrible takedown by Wilson or perhaps it was just good defense by Owraa which made him look bad.
Wilson goes for a double leg but Owraa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Owraa continues to drive forward.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wilson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Uruk Owraa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson goes for a double leg but Owraa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Owraa continues to drive forward.
Owraa wants a takedown.

Owraa has had enough of the clinch but Wilson keeps him there for the moment.

Wilson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Owraa uses from the top position.

Owraa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wilson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Wilson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Owraa!
Owraa is squirming around, avoiding Wilson's attempts to control the action.
Owraa is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Wilson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Owraa hang on?

Wilson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Wilson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Owraa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Owraa!

Wilson misses with a takedown attempt - Owraa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Owraa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wilson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wilson feints and as Owraa raises his hands in defense, Wilson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wilson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Owraa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wilson has Owraa in his guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Owraa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wilson wants to sweep but no luck.

Wilson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Owraa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Owraa throws an elbow that misses. Wilson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Owraa's guard. Nice move by Wilson!

Wilson wants to control from the top but Owraa keeps moving.
Wilson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wilson won't allow Owraa to get back to his feet.

Mark Wilson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Owraa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Wilson forces Owraa back against the cage and clinches.

Owraa wants the takedown. Wilson is fighting it off but Owraa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wilson's guard against the cage.

Owraa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Wilson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Wilson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Owraa clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Uruk Owraa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Wilson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Owraa has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wilson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Owraa taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wilson doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mark Wilson!
Uruk Owraa was interviewed post fight and said 'I did not get to drink the blood of my opponent but I promise Il be back to take his soul.'.
