The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Grimes throws a head kick that misses.
Lei tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grimes paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grimes swats away the attempt to clinch by Lei.

Lei swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Grimes counter with a right hand.

The crowd cheers as Grimes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lei doesn't seem phased though.

Lei's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Grimes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lei scrambles back to his feet.

Lei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lei tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grimes swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lei tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Grimes scores with a body shot.
Grimes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lei moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lei tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Grimes is able to avoid easily.
Lei buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grimes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lei looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Lei lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Grimes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lei to score with a decent uppercut.
Grimes lands with a straight right. Lei didn't see that one coming.

Grimes lands a big head kick that sends Lei to the canvas! Grimes follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
