The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
August misses with a looping right.
Yang blocks a low kick nicely.
Yang fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
August lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
A jab from Yang misses.
Yang moves out of range as August strikes.

Yang has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from August finds it's way round the side to connect with Yang's head.
Yang throws a series of punches but August moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
August feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yangs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Yang takes the fight into the clinch.

August swings wildly with an uppercut but Yang uses good head movement to avoid it.
Yang lands a right hand.
Yang tries to pull guard but August holds him up against the ropes and eventually Yang drops back down to his feet.

Oktawian August is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
August misses with a looping left.
Yang lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
August cracks the inside of Yang's front leg.
August lands a nice shot that snaps Yang's head back.
Yang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but August manages to avoid it.
Yang darts in trying to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

August is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
August uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yang.

August throws a looping overhand right but Yang ducks down to avoid it.
Horrible takedown by Yang or perhaps it was just good defense by August which made him look bad.
Oktawian August has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Yang.

Yang drops his hands momentarily and August takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Yang chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before August can pounce on him.
August jabbing away but nothing is landing.
August is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

and August counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Good leg kick by August there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A punch lands to the side of Yang 's head but he takes it in his stride.

That kick from August tenderised Yang's leg. Yang is trying to keep his angry face on.

August swings for the body but Yang moves out of range.

Yang wants to clinch up but August keeps it at a distance.
Yang lands a head kick. August smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
August throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
August throws a leg kick which misses Yang's front leg but catches the back leg as Yang tries to avoid it.
August goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Yang has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from August.
August connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Yang tries to close the distance and clinch but August swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Yang defending well as August loads up on a big left hand.

A decent looking cross lands there for August.
August lands a big head kick that sends Yang tumbling to the mat! August takes a step backwards and waves Yang back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Yang is rocked!
August finds Yang's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Yang flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. August lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Yang will be OK.
