PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lasse Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Grigorenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grigorenko is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Aerosmith feat. Run DMC - Walk This Way. On his way into the cage it seems that Lasse Kongo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lasse Kongo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grigorenko darts in and clinches Kongo up against the cage.
Kongo working hard to break the clinch.
Kongo is trying to break the clinch but Grigorenko has him pressed against the cage.
Kongo has had enough of the clinch but Grigorenko keeps him there for the moment.

Grigorenko successfully pulls guard.

Kongo stands and steps away. Grigorenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kongo gets a clinch.

Grigorenko breaks from the clinch.
Grigorenko on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Grigorenko lands with a hook. Kongo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kongo lands a jab to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kongo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kongo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Grigorenko has a takedown stuffed.
Kongo lands with a big left! Grigorenko is wobbled badly! Kongo comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Grigorenko to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
