Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joel Kinney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Kotetsu!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinney tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kinney clinches up against the cage.
Kinney is looking for a takedown.
Kinney jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kotetsu walks away with a smile on his face. Kinney gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kinney really is a fat lump.

Kinney closes the distance and pushes Kotetsu back into the cage.
Kinney is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kotetsu is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joel Kinney. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kotetsu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kinney is trying to pull guard but Kotetsu has him pressed against the cage.
Kotetsu working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kotetsu lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kotetsu has Kinney pressed against the cage.
Kinney is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kinney is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kotetsu to keep the fight standing.
Kotetsu wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kinney has Kotetsu pressed against the cage, preventing Kotetsu from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kotetsu is looking to break free of the clinch but Kinney has double underhooks.
Kinney misses with a punch on the inside.
Kotetsu wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kotetsu has had enough of the clinch but Kinney keeps him there for the moment.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kotetsu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kinney breaks the clinch.
Kotetsu scores with a three punch combo!


Kinney is rocked!
Kotetsu lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Kinney out cold! Kinney is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Roberto Kotetsu!
