Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boone Straud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ebenezer Scrooge!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scrooge fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Straud looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Straud ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Scrooge moves away.
Ebenezer Scrooge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Scrooge with that takedown attempt.
Straud misses with an uppercut
and Scrooge cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Boone Straud has been cut.
Scrooge pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Scrooge misses the jab.
Straud could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Scrooge has taken the fight to the clinch.
Scrooge wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Straud has him pressed against the cage.

Scrooge wants to break free but Straud has control.
Straud keeps control of Scrooge as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Scrooge has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Scrooge misses with a punch to the body.
Straud tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Scrooge's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Straud swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Straud makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Straud scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Straud tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Straud lands with a left to the head.
Scrooge taking a breather.
Straud lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Straud misses with a punch on the inside.
Straud makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.


It looks like Ebenezer Scrooge has been cut.
Straud scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Straud is trying to stall.
Scrooge is trying to break the clinch but Straud is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scrooge takes a knee right on the jaw!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Straud lands a hook to the side of the head.
A nice left hand lands by Straud.
Straud with the Thai clinch, moves his hips back and unleashes a brutal knee to the head! Scrooge drops to the mat in a crumpled heap! Huuuuuuge knee there! WOW!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Boone Straud!
Boone Straud seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
