Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irving Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zlatan Jelencik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zlatan Jelencik will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Leblanc. No joy for Jelencik on that attempt.
Jelencik darts in looking for a takedown but Leblanc gets double underhooks and turns Jelencik into the cage.
Jelencik lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Jelencik wants to break free but Leblanc has control.

Jelencik breaks from the clinch.
Jelencik fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jelencik throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leblanc really is a fat lump.
Jelencik pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Leblanc back to the cage. Jelencik follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Jelencik makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Jelencik tries to keep at a distance but Leblanc has taken the fight into the clinch.

Jelencik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jelencik closes the distance and clinches up with Leblanc, looking for a takedown. Jelencik pushes Leblanc against the cage but Leblanc circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Leblanc counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jelencik won't be happy with that.

Jelencik throws a strike from the bottom but Leblanc uses the opportunity to take his back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Leblanc controlling the positon.
Jelencik rolls, trying to escape but Leblanc keeps control of the position.
Leblanc has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jelencik's body.

Leblanc is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jelencik knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jelencik for a finish.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jelencik tries to escape the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Leblanc controlling the positon.
Leblanc has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jelencik fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jelencik fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jelencik shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leblanc defends it nicely.
Jelencik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leblanc is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jelencik knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leblanc has hold of Jelencik's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jelencik tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Leblanc cranks the arm and Jelencik screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jelencik, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
