Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Talian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Ronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Talian gets a clinch.
Talian has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ronson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Talian pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ronson gets a takedown into half guard.
Talian might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Talian tries to roll over but Ronson keeps him under control.
Talian could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Talian is not content to let Ronson control the position.

Ronson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Talian is just riding it out for now. Ronson eventually gives up the hold.

Talian is defending against the submission attempts here by Ronson.

Ronson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Talian has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Talian is trying to get back to full guard.

Ronson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ronson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Ronson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Talian has worked his arm free - good work by Talian!
