The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seed changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Seed lands with a shot to the body.
Mcdonald tries to score a power double leg takedown but Seed sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcdonald somewhat.

Mcdonald drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Seed is trying to improve his position.
Mcdonald tries to score with some ground and pound. Seed controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Seed regains half guard.
Seed slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Seed manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcdonald manages to get himself to full guard.
