Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Damian Richmond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hugh Jordan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Richmond.
Jordan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Richmond paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Richmond shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Jordan rushes Richmond and presses him up against the cage.
Jordan is trying to maintain a safe position but Richmond gets an underhook and turns Jordan into the cage.
Richmond is working for takedown but Jordan is calmly controlling the position for now.
A right hand to the body from Jordan.
Jordan working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Jordan lands a nice uppercut.

Richmond gets control of Jordan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Richmond will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jordan tries to stand but Richmond is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Richmond looking for a sweep. Not yet Richmond, not yet.

Richmond is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jordan is aware though and is defending well.
Jordan won't allow Richmond to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Richmond will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Richmond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Richmond is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Richmond manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Richmond lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jordan backwards.
Jordan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A short body shot lands from Jordan as the two fighters clinch.
Jordan is trying to stall.
Jordan lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Damian Richmond has been cut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jordan is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Jordan tries to pull guard but Richmond forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Jordan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jordan scores with a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Richmond shoots in but Jordan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Richmond. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Richmond is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jordan drops Richmond with a big left hand and mounts him. Richmond is in big trouble!


Richmond is rocked!
Richmond is squirming around, avoiding Jordan's attempts to control the action.
Oh Richmond is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jordan jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Richmond manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Jordan decides to stand back up. Jordan steps back and let's Richmond get back to his feet.

Jordan moves into the clinch.
Jordan lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jordan lands a big right hand that drops Richmond! The killer instinct kicks in and Jordan finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Jordan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hugh Jordan!
