Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rauhallinen Pommi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Grand Magus - Hammer of the North as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith thuds his right hand into Pommi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Smith tries to bum rush Pommi with a series of wild strikes but Pommi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pommi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smith can pounce on him.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pommi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Smith - the referee stops the clock and Pommi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Smith. Pommi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Pommi is looking to score with low kicks.
Smith buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pommi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Smith.
Smith thows a left - swing and a miss!
Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pommi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Good leg kick by Pommi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Smith is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pommi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Pommi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Pommi's head.

Pommi will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smith lands a nice hook to Pommi's body. Pommi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Smith dips to his left and cracks Pommi with an uppercut!

Pommi moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pommi.

Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pommi back to the cage. Smith follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Oh Pommi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith scores with a kick to the midsection.
Pommi seems to have got his legs back now.
Pommi misses with a head kick.
