Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulo Almeida will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hendricks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for Hendricks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hendricks slips a jab and a cross from Almeida.
Almeida throws the kick towards the body but Hendricks avoids it.
Almeida throws a right hand that Hendricks ducks under and follows up with a left that Hendricks also avoids with ease.
Almeida shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hendricks defends it nicely.
Hendricks pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Almeida throws a head kick but Hendricks moves out of range.
Almeida throws a hook to the side of Hendricks's head but Hendricks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hendricks moves into the clinch.

Hendricks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hendricks fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Almeida throws a series of punches but Hendricks moves out of range.

Hendricks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Almeida's efforts to push away.

Almeida tries to break free but Hendricks pushes him back against the cage.
Almeida has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hendricks after a bit of a struggle.
Hendricks can't get the takedown.
Almeida tries to pull guard but Hendricks won't allow it.
Sylvester Hendricks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Almeida.
Almeida can't break the clinch.
Hendricks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Almeida's efforts to push away.
Hendricks is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Almeida pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A nice left hand lands by Hendricks.

Hendricks decides to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Almeida trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hendricks has control of Almeida's left arm, preventing Almeida from doing any damage.

Hendricks is pulling down on Almeida's head. It's preventing any offense from Almeida, at least for the moment.
Almeida trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hendricks's guard.

Almeida got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hendricks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Almeida has managed to get both his arms back between Hendricks's legs - danger averted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hendricks is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Almeida rolls with it to try and escape but Hendricks cranks on the arm and Almeida is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
