PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with Will T. Bear - For a Few Dollars More blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Marvin's choice of entrance music: King of Kings by Motorhead. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Marvin!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marvin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Marvin!
Marvin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Marvin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Marvin felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Luke Johnson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
