Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between JJ Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stryker swivels and escapes.
Stryker keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stryker but Stryker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stryker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters circle momentarily. Stryker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Stryker misses with the combination.
Stryker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thomas shoots in looking for a takedown. Stryker tries to sprawl out of it but Thomas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stryker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JJ Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stryker cracks Thomas with a good jab.

Thomas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stryker.
Stryker lands with an overhand left.

Thomas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stryker tries to avoid it but Thomas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stryker to the ground. Stryker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thomas is breathing heavily.

Stryker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Thomass jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stryker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Austin Stryker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stryker sends Thomas crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Stryker is motioning to the referee to let Thomas up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Thomas is rocked!
Stryker cracks Thomas with a left hook right on the temple and Thomas goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Stryker lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Thomas is OK!
