Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steffan Stove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steffan Stove has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Abbott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steffan Stove!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stove throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Abbott misses with a combination
and Stove counters with a nice body shot.
Stove throws a low kick, looking for Abbott's leg but Abbott calmly moves out of range.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stove as he avoids it easily.
Stove wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Abbott fails to land the takedown.
Stove gets tackled into the cage by Abbott. Abbott maintains the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Abbott is looking to break free of the clinch but Stove has double underhooks.
Abbott gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Abbott could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Abbott controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stove holds on and takes a little breather.

Abbott is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ivan Abbott just wasn't active enough.
Stove defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Abbott.

Stove throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Abbott closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Abbott lands in his opponent's guard.

Stove is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Abbott won't allow Stove to sweep him here.
Abbott postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Steffan Stove has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Stove throws a half hearted mid kick.
Abbott fails with an attempt to clinch.
Abbott tries to clinch there but Stove circles away.
Stove throws a front kick aimed at Abbott's knee but Abbott avoids it well.
Abbott throws a leg kick but Stove moved away.
Stove ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abbott moves away.
Abbott shoots in looking for a takedown but Stove manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Abbott's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stove throws a push kick but Abbott slaps the foot to one side.

Stove misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stove is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Abbott looking to score a takedown here. Stove is defending well but Abbott drives through and ends up in Stove's guard.
Abbott trying to control the position from guard on top but Stove is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ivan Abbott has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Stove connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ivan Abbott will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nice uppercut lands for Stove. That snapped Abbott's head back.
Abbott goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stove throws a wild body kick that Abbott sees coming a mile off.
Abbott walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Steffan Stove is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stove but Stove pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A left lands for Stove.
Abbott is rocked!

Abbott tries for a takedown but Stove circles away easily
and Stove rattles Abbott with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Abbott tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Stove dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Abbott stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Steffan Stove!
