Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Morris Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Aho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evan Aho has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Morris Hardy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morris Hardy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Aho!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aho tries to close the distance and clinch but Hardy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Aho closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hardy jumps guard.
Hardy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hardy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Aho is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Aho keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hardy's head.
Hardy wants to stand up but Aho is controlling him.
Hardy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aho wants to pass the guard but Hardy is keeping the position.
Hardy keeping moving, preventing Aho from controlling successfully.
Aho is fighting to break Hardy's control of his arms but Hardy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evan Aho has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Hardy. No joy for Aho on that attempt.

and Hardy counters by clinching up.
Hardy is trying to break the clinch but Aho is controlling him.
Aho can't break the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hardy takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Aho is trying to break free.
Hardy tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Aho looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Aho tries to score a body lock takedown but Hardy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Morris Hardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Aho.
Aho avoiding damage as Hardy throws knees to the body.

Hardy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Hardy stays in close to Aho's body and controls the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aho is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hardy is controlling him.
Aho looks winded!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hardy engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Morris Hardy just wasn't active enough.
Aho moves in looking to clinch but Hardy pushes him off.

Hardy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aho looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hardy controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Aho wants to get back to his feet.

Hardy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Aho has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hardy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Aho's shoulder. That is not cool.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hardy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Aho is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Hardy is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morris Hardy dominated that round.
That's time! Hardy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Aho is looking to clinch.
Aho fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Hardy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hardy has momentary wrist control but Aho slips an elbow through the middle.
Hardy has his hands on Aho's head, controlling the position.
Hardy looking for a sweep. Not yet Hardy, not yet.
Hardy pulls Aho in close to prevent any damage.
Aho trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardy is controlling Aho's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Morris Hardy just wasn't active enough.

Hardy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hardy advances to mount.
Hardy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hardy avoids the attempt from Aho to control.
Aho is breathing heavily.
The referee warns Aho that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hardy scoring with strikes but Aho is staying in there.
Hardy lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Aho hang on?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hardy working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Aho turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hardy off and cradles Aho's limp body as Hardy celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Morris Hardy!
