Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt McConor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buddy Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kurt McConor!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marsh sprawls well. Marsh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McConor gets slowly back to his feet.
McConor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marsh but Marsh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marsh wants to clinch.
McConor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Buddy Marsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt McConor.
Marsh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McConor.

McConor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marsh's waist but Marsh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McConor off to one side.

McConor shoots for a takedown but Marsh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McConor is defended easily by Marsh.

Marsh throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McConor on the side of the head.
Horrible takedown by McConor or perhaps it was just good defense by Marsh which made him look bad.
Kurt McConor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McConor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marsh as he avoids it easily.
Marsh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and McConor counters with a shoot takedown. Marsh fights it but they end up in guard.

Marsh working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because McConor has passed into half guard!
Marsh wants to control but McConor is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Marsh wants to improve his position but McConor is controlling well.

McConor wants to pass to mount but Marsh is defending the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McConor is taking a breather. Marsh says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McConor is trying to control. Marsh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Marsh misses with some strikes from the bottom.
McConor is looking to advance position but Marsh won't allow it.

McConor is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

McConor looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McConor trying to control but Marsh is having none of it.

McConor working for a guillotine from mount but Marsh is in no mood to give up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McConor moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Marsh has worked his arm free - good work by Marsh!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kurt McConor dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McConor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Buddy Marsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt McConor.

McConor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Marsh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McConor is in Marsh's guard.
Marsh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McConor wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving.

McConor drops back looking for a leg! Marsh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marsh manages to kick McConor off! McConor jumps back into Marsh's guard.

Marsh wants to stand and escape but McConor is having none of it.

McConor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

McConor stands and throws Marsh's legs to the side, diving into side control.

McConor goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Marsh rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McConor's guard! Nice work there by Marsh!

McConor has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marsh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McConor looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McConor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

McConor has his foot on Marsh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marsh works his way back into a safe position though.

McConor pulls Marsh in close to prevent any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


McConor shoots in looking for a takedown but Marsh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McConor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marsh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McConor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marsh shoots in for a double leg but McConor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McConor misses with a takedown attempt - Marsh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

McConor fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Marsh to the ground. McConor is now in Marsh's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kurt McConor hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

McConor drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

McConor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Marsh is trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buddy Marsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kurt McConor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

McConor wants to control but Marsh is keeping him busy.

I've got McConor winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
